Barbara Kay (Johnson) Carlson, 90, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025 in Gilbert, AZ. Born July24, 1935 in Manilas, Illinois, Barbara was a retired Registered Nurse of 43 years. She is survived by her daughters Kay Biggs, Karen (John) Knopp, Kristin (Michael) Lawson, and grandchildren Zachary (Nicole) Biggs, Madelyne (Brady) Smith, JR and Jessica Knopp, Nathan and Darrick Lawson, and 4 great-grandchildren Oliver and Macie Biggs, Addison and Scarlett Knopp. She is preceded in death by husband Robert (Bob) , parents Ivan (Bill) and Ordelle Johnson, brother Joseph (Joe), and grandson Noah James Lawson. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sage Hospice Care, 5111 N. Scottsdale Rd, Suite 204, Scottsdale, AZ 85250. Barbara's presence in our lives was a gift, and though she is no longer with us, her love and humor will forever be with us.
