Barbara Kay Chism Obituary
On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, Barbara Kay Carroll Chism, 54, departed this life peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany surrounded by family.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Barbara will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 2PM, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care with Bro. Bobby Butler officiating. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of service. Burial will follow in the Ingomar Cemetery in Union County.
Barbara was born on July 21, 1969, in Union County to the late Barbara Holmes Carroll and was a 1988 graduate of Myrtle High School. She was a machine operator for many years with the Advanced Plastics Company until her retirement.
A Christian, Barbara, possessing a sassy personality, was also a very caring person, who loved her pets and all types of animals. Having a "green thumb", she enjoyed gardening, fishing and most of all sharing time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Robert Chism of Baldwyn, two daughters, Kayla Cato (Levi) of Guntown, Hailey Chism of Baldwyn, her father, Buddy Carroll of Myrtle, one sister, Patricia Herod (David) of Baldwyn, one brother, Bryan Carroll (Beverly) of Ingomar, two grandchildren, Bodhi and Kenji Cato both of Guntown.
