Barbara Lee Coleman, 76, left this life on Sunday, May 13, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born January 17, 1942 in Houston, Harris County, Texas to Floyd Alton and Gladys Britton Price. At the age of nine, the family moved to Fort Smith where she attended school. In 1960, Barbara graduated from Fort Smith High School. She attended the University of Arkansas and often took classes at Westark Community College.

After 32 years of employment as an Administrative Assistance with Dillmeier Enterprises, Inc., she retired to pursue her love of history. Many hours were spent working on her family history, volunteering at the National Historic Site, in the genealogy department at the Fort Smith Public Library and serving on the Oak Cemetery Commission working on Tales of the Crypt. Barbara was a long time member of Frontier Research Genealogy Society, Daughters of American Revolution serving as Registrar, Baseline Meriden Chapter of the Daughters of 1812 and Varina Jefferson Davis Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy where she held local and state offices. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and enjoyed many hours of serving the food pantry.

Surviving her is her beloved husband, Kenneth; her children, Llisa Pollreis and husband Brian, Tera Glasscock and Mark Glasscock and wife Sharon; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her sister, Floy Beard of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and a host of special friends.

Her parents, Floyd and Gladys Price; and her sister, Nita Roach preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Faith United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Don Kremers, Mike Kremers, Charlie Kremers, Guy Kremers, Kerry Kremers and Nick Kremers.

Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 2901 Massard Road, Fort Smith, AR 72903 or the Genealogy Department of the Fort Smith Public Library, 3201 Rogers Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72903.
