Obituary of Barbara Cornish
Barbara Cornish (nee Marhefka), 77, lifelong resident of Boonton passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, William Cornish on April 7, 2021.
Born in Morristown and raised in Boonton, she spent almost her entire life in Boonton. She briefly lived in Lake Hiawatha and Lodi, but couldn't wait to get back to Boonton. She worked for Thermal American in Montville for many years, followed by Heraeus in Fairfield, finishing her career at Traveler's Insurance in Morristown.
Barbara is survived by her loving son, William (Rosemarie), who took loving care of her during her extended illness. She is also survived by her sister Joan, nephews John (Amy) and Michael (Barbara), a number of cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as in-laws Brian, Louise and John. She is also survived by her loving grand-puppies George and Molly, who brought her so much joy.
Barbara and her family would also like to thank her angel sent by God, Yineli, who helped to take care of her during her long illness.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday, March 18th from 9-11am in Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton.
Funeral service will commence at 10am in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton.
