It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann D'Alessio, age 93, on January 14, 2026. Born on January 1, 1933, in New York, NY, Barbara dedicated her life to her family and career.
She was known for her unwavering love and support as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Barbara was a proud supervisor in the vision care industry, where she worked diligently at Silor Optical in Glen Head, NY.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, William D'Alessio, and her children, William (Michelle) and Joanne.
Barbara is survived by her devoted son, James (Barbara) D'Alessio, and cherished grandchildren, Kelly Joanne Vilchek (Chris), James D'Alessio (Andrea), and Joanne D'Alessio.
She was a proud great-grandmother to Keira Jane Vilchek, Lily Rose D'Alessio, and Juliet Violet D'Alessio.
Barbara is also survived by her sister, Nancy Fine (Woody), and her brother, Kevin Neary (Mary).
Barbara was a woman of grace, compassion, and love, whose spirit will live on through her family and friends.
