Mrs. Barbara Jean Harrison Davis, the daughter of the late Henry T. Harrison and the late Lela Mae Brown Harrison was born August 24, 1950, in Florence, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
Barbara was educated in the Florence Public Schools and a proud graduate of Wilson High School Class of 1969.
At an early age, Barbara was the youngest member to sing on the Gospel Choir at Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, alongside her mother. She later attended Ebenezer Baptist Church #2 in Florence, South Carolina under the leadership of Reverend Edward Burch
Barbara was employed with Smalls Janitorial Service of Darlington, South Carolina and Sara Lee Hosiery Production of Florence, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents; Barbara was preceded in death by three sons, Bernard Coleman Davis, Bobby Lee Gainey, Jr. and Adam Brad Davis; one daughter, Cynthia Ann Davis Beach; and three sisters, Gloria Ann Brown, Ella Mae Harrison and Henrietta Harrison Johnson.
Barbara leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters, Wanda (Johnny) Alexander and Brenda Davis (Willtony) both of Florence, South Carolina; two sons, Henry Tyrone (Natasha) Davis and Henry Davis, Jr. both of Florence, South Carolina; one son-in-law, John W. Beach, Jr. of Pamplico, South Carolina; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen greatgrandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Lee Harrison; two brothers, Robert Lee Harrison and Frank Lee Harrison both of Florence, South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Martha D. Hickson of Florence, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
