Barbara Ann Drayton

Barbara Ann Drayton passed away on January 19, 2025 in Port Richey, FL. She died one week shy of her 71st birthday on January 26.
Barbara was born in Hicksville NY, but grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. As a teenager she moved to Oakland NJ with her family and graduated from Indian Hills HS. She later received her nursing degree from Bergen Community College and subsequently earned another degree from William Paterson University. Barbara pursued her nursing vocation through various assignments including Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, managing several doctors' practices, and as case manager for a major insurance company. She was a long-time resident of Waldwick NJ and relocated to Florida after retiring.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband Joseph Drayton, her parents George and Kathleen Walsh, and siblings Michael Walsh and Marilyn Romaine. She is survived by her son Jeffrey Distler, granddaughter McKayla Barto, siblings Susanne Kwederis (Joseph), Thomas Walsh (Marilyn), and Judi Begnoche (Steven). She was known as a loving and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews who are heartbroken with her death.
