Barbara Gail Embrey, 84, of New Harmony, Indiana, formerly of Poseyville, Indiana born to Doris and Ruby (Williams) Brown on July 13, 1937, in Spottsville, Kentucky, left to work for and live with her heavenly father, Friday, December 10, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital Midtown in Evansville, Indiana.
She attended Wadesville General Baptist Church and worked for 40 years in nursing at Deaconess and Welborn Hospitals caring for patients as much as she did for her family. She loved the Gaither Vocal Band, flower gardening, crocheting, crafts, making desserts and taking care of family.
Surviving are her sons: Terry Embrey (Gayle) of Poseyville, Indiana, Jim Embrey (Eileen) of Poseyville, Indiana and Mike Embrey of Evansville, Indiana; brothers; Earl Brown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Don Brown (Faye) of Spottsville, Kentucky and Steve Brown of Henderson, Kentucky; sister: Diane Nellis of Henderson, Kentucky; grandchildren: Jessica, Carrie, Dena, Nancy, Sarah, Justin, Nathan and Jacob and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: James Ward Embrey; daughter: Pamela Embrey and brothers: Eddie and Tom Brown.
Due to Covid-19 health concerns, private funeral services will be at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with burial in Poseyville Cemetery.

As my sister Gail is laid to rest and I'm not able to attend, my heart felt love and and prayers are with all of our families; Brown's and Embrey's and our extended families. I know that she is resting in the loving arms of Our Lord Jesus' arms in Heaven and is at Peace with Him
