I am writing on behalf of my mother Doris Krolman Cavanaugh. Barbara and her were lifetime friends going back to Pine Bush New York where they summered as little girls and stayed in touch all through the years. My mom just asked me to look her up after she tired to call her and we saw the sad news.

Barbara was a kind and generous friend to my mother-she even had a tree named in her honor for a recent birthday. What a beautiful obituary, it brings my mother great comfort to know she died surrounded by people who loved her. My heart aches for my mom that her friend of 80 years is gone. Rest in love.

We are all grateful that we were able to see Barbara at the family reunion/wedding in California last year. Barbara never missed a family event. We loved hearing stories about Uncle Stanley and Aunt Emily and their many escapades. She had an infectious laugh and love for life. She will be greatly missed - The Davis and Pullen Families

We will forever be grateful for Barb's friendship, laughter, and inspiration. She lived life with zest and determination and taught us the true meaning of love for family and friends. She will be missed by all that had the privilege to share a part of her life and forever hold the treasured memories she left us. Our condolences to her family and to Rob and Sandra, we share your sorrow with love and friendship. We can hear her voice echo with a Brooklyn accent, and a resounding "Oh my Gaaaad!" as she first enters heaven.
