Barbara Katherine "Bobbie" Flowers, born on November 12, 1950, in Camden, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, in Kingwood, Texas. She leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
For over two decades, Bobbie dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding children as a special education aid for Hull-Daisetta. Her commitment and passion for her work were evident as she brightened the lives of countless students, always finding joy in seeing them succeed and thrive. Barbara's exuberant spirit was also reflected in her high school years, where she proudly donned the Bobbie Bobcat Mascot, bringing smiles and cheer to her peers.
Bobbie was a beloved figure in her family, known for her warm heart and infectious laughter. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and relished every moment spent cooking for them and creating a welcoming home filled with love. Her enthusiasm for life was unmatched; she loved to work on puzzles on her tablet and often embraced the simple pleasures that life offered.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Flowers of Hull, Texas; her son, Jerimey Flowers and wife Jana of Liberty, Texas; her daughter, Amanda Flowers of Raywood, Texas; her brother, James Tolar and wife Charlotte of Arkansas; her sister, Betty Flowers of Daisetta, Texas; her grandchildren, Hannah Flowers and husband James Crockett, Kayden Flowers, and Wyatt Flowers; and her great-grandchildren, Phinley Crockett and Salem Crockett. Bobbie had a remarkable ability to connect with people, leaving a lasting impression on numerous extended family and friends.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her father, James C. Tolar; her mother, Katherine Mae Greer Tolar; and her brother-in-law, Melvin Flowers. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held in her honor on March 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Faith & Family Funeral Services, located at 40847 Texas 105, Batson, Texas, 77519. The funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted the following day, March 29, 2025, at 2:30 PM officiated by Pastor Johnathan Green, with burial to follow at Guedry Cemetery at 3:30 PM, located at 11713 Batson Prairie Road, Batson, Texas, 77519.
Honoring Bobbie as pallbearers are Seth Hill, Jordyn Lucario, Devyn Hill, Jim Tolar, Justin Flowers, Kayden Flowers, Jerimey Flowers, and Dillion Rawlinson. Honorary Pallbearers are Wyatt Flowers, Salem Crockett, Dennis Hill, Kevin Flowers and students of the kids she taught.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember Bobbie not just for her departure, but for the vast love she cultivated throughout her life. Her warmth, humor, and devotion will forever remain in our hearts.
