Barbara Ann Ford (Dolan) 83, of Clinton, TN, passed away peacefully, March 09, 2026 at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.

Born February 03, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Walter F. Dolan Sr and Frances H. Dolan (Skalka). Oldest of 5 siblings. Frances E. Siren, Walter F. Dolan Jr. (deceased), Karen J. Thompson, and James L. Dolan (Marybeth) and numerous nieces and nephews

Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael B. Ford Sr of Clinton, TN, Son Michael B. Ford Jr. (Alice), and granddaughter Abigail Marie Ford of Corensville, PA.

Barb graduated from Queen of The Rosary Academy, Amityville, NY in 1960 and entered The Religious Order of The Sister’s of Mercy in Dallas, PA. Leaving just before her final vows with a ba in education from Misericordia College and on to achieve a master’s degree in education. A lifelong educator, she held positions as an elementary school teacher, professor at San Diego Community College and instructor for the U.S. Navy at The Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL.

Barb was a devoted wife who always supported her husband during his 20 years in The United States Marine Corp. A loving and caring mother who was so very proud of her son Michael. A proud patriot who supported our veterans as well as our first responders and their charities. Barb was a joyous spirit and always celebrated everyone’s successes and achievements. Barb had a great love for animals. She raised, trained, and showed Alpacas. She loved her dogs, Buddy and Ajax, and provided a welcoming, loving home to many rescues over the years.

Barb was a member of San Joeseph Catholic Church, Norris, TN. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Mass following with Fr. Dennis Kress and deacon Dan Hosford. Celebrants, instrument will be held at a later date
