Barbara Galloway Obituary
Born in Washington, DC, Barbara graduated from Dunbar High School, Miner Teachers College (B.S.) and Howard University (M.A.). After 32 years in the District of Columbia education system, Barbara retired with her husband and love of her life, George E. Galloway, eventually relocating closer to family in Farmville, VA.
She was proceeded in death by George, and two daughters, Claudia G. Logan and Carol G. Hurley. She is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Robinson, Eric Hurley, Brian (Jennifer) Logan, April Hurley, and Andrea Hurley (Jordan Hester), her niece, Jennifer Durham, six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on August 10, 2024 at First Baptist Church, 100 S. Main St., Farmville, VA 23901 at 2 p.m. Flowers may be sent to the church or donations may be made in Barbara's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital directly or online.

Your grandmother wll truly be missed She was a beautiful , classy and loving person.
