To all the Galvins: I was very sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She was a great gal. We had lots of good times together some years ago full of laughs, and good food. She and your family will be in my prayers.

To our summer friends at Bonney Eagle, Barbara always shared a smile or waved as she passed by. She will be missed in our little community on the lake. My deepest sympathies to all of the Galvin family at your loss.

Linda, Paul, and Cathy,
We were so sad to hear of Untie Barbra's passing. She was always so gracious when we got together, listening to my goofy stories and always interested with what was going on with my family. The pride she had for her children was only surpassed by the love she had for her grandchildren. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. May she rest in the arms of the lord, reunited with Uncle Paul.
Most Sincerely,
Peter & Lynn Cerretani

My best knitting friend, Barbara Galvin, died yesterday after suffering a massive stroke while in Maine. She was transferred to hospice and died yesterday with her family surrounding her.
We met 37 years ago at a knitting seminar. She was such an inspiration to me. I taught her how to use a computer and DAK, a knitting software. She took to it like a duck to water. We had some great times together and lots of laughs. I admired her greatly. She was an awesome mom who brought up some wonderful children. She not only knit for the troops, but taught the ladies at the senior center to knit as well. A few years ago the count for the military was at thousands, and she was a big part of that. She made sure they got them.
When my machine broke she was kind enough to give me one of her 11 machines.
She had a heart attack years ago, lung cancer that was caught in time and COPD. Nothing stopped her. She was amazing.
She taught me so much more than I ever taught her. She was a great friend and I will miss her, even though we didn't speak often, I always knew she was there.
I love you Barbara. God speed.

She was one special lady. She always had a welcoming smile and her door was always open to one and all. Being friends with Paul, I spent many a day there and am forever grateful to how special she made me feel when visiting. God speed Mrs G.! The sky is a bit brighter today for a new star resides in heaven!

Here at Bonny Eagle and just heard the sad news. The lake will not be the same without Barbara. So many fond memories at the lake with our families. Now I know why the loons on Bonny Eagle have been calling so much the last few nights. Our deepest condolences to our lake neighbors in Maine.

I remember all the times Barbara would visit and talk to my mother Katherine Pescatore. Barbara always had a smile on her face.

Your mom was a great friend and we shared many stories about the military and knitting. I will miss her calls but cherish the years I knew her and your family. Watching the Patriots will never be the same as we had our phone calls during the game every time they scored a touchdown.
