Barbara June Gee, aged 91, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born on October 7, 1934, in Waco, Texas, Barbara dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her esteemed career as a nurse in Labor and Delivery. Her compassionate spirit touched many lives during those years.
In retirement, Barbara embraced her love of adventure and exploration, traveling extensively across the United States and around the world in her beloved RV. When she chose to settle down, she delighted in playing bingo and was a devoted reader, always eager to discover new stories. Her strong faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and comfort.
Barbara is lovingly remembered by her son, Russell Gee and his wife Sandra Gee; her daughter, Reba Sanders; her granddaughters, Chandler Gee, Cameron "Cami" Gee, Angela Wiggins, and Stephanie Johnson; and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Sam "Sammy" Wells.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Russell Wells and Reba Knight Harris; her brother, Chester Ray Wells; and her stepsister, Shirley Filinger.
A memorial service honoring Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel in Willow Park. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable life she led and the lasting memories she leaves behind.
