Barb was born in Warren, Ohio on February 12, 1941. She is the daughter of Alex Phillips and Barbara Farkas-Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Dorothy Phillips and Bette Phillips-Frenchko. Barb was also preceded in death by her husband in 1967, Raymond Giovannone and her beloved granddaughter in 2014, Sierra Giovannone-Roberts.

Barb is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Alex and Winnie Phillips of Warren, OH., and her three daughters, Marcia Giovannone-Scott of Lordstown, OH.; Beth Giovannone of Apple Valley, MN.; and, Amy Jo Giovannone of Niles, OH. Grandchildren, Jennifer Rae Scott, Isaac "Ramsey" Scott III, Emma Rae (Connor) Wolf, and Logan Bruce. Harding High School, as well as a graduate of ETI Technical College in Niles, OH., with her Paralegal Degree, which she utilized to secure a second career once she retired from Packard Electric. After retiring from Packard Electric, Barb worked for the Howland Police Department for 15 years and became a confidant and another mother to many.

Barb worked tirelessly to own a nice home, and to provide a comfortable life for herself and children. She also knew how to enjoy life by spending time with her friends dancing, camping and traveling often.

Barb wished for no calling hours. Instead, she requested a Celebration of Life Party for those who can attend. Barb's Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Buena Vista Café Restaurant in Warren, OH., 1305 Buena Vista Ave. NE, Warren, OH 44483 at 12:00 noon.
