Barbara Jean Goforth

DANA-Barbara Jean Goforth went to be with her Savior on December 28, 2024.
Barbara is survived by her three children Glenna, Kerry (wife Cindy), and Douglas (wife Pamela). She is also survived by three grandchildren (Jennifer (husband Kevin), Kayla and Alex), 2 great-grandsons (Jude and Linus) and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was born in Greencastle, IN, on November 17, 1933. Her parents were Robert and Lucille Dunkin.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, James Edmon Goforth.
James and Barbara met and married in 1952. Barbara worked as a computer operator for MAB paint company for more than 25 years. She enjoyed singing in the Dana United Methodist church choir and playing in the kitchen band at eight area nursing homes for 40 years.
According to her wishes, she will be cremated and interred at the Bales cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Dana United Methodist (Fellowship Hall) in Dana, IN, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025. There will be a brief service at 3:00 pm.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gibson Hospice Unit at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN or the Vermillion County Humane Society.
