Barbara Jackson Griffin

Barbara Jackson Griffin, 74 of Eutawville, South Carolina, wife of Buddy Griffin passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Born on September 19, 1951 in Orangeburg, SC Barbara was a daughter of the late Willie Whetsell Jackson and William Jackson.

Barbara held several jobs throughout her lifetime and was a dedicated Auxiliary member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10980. She loved all things cows and collecting them. Barbara especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Barbara is survived by her husband; daughter Susan Deloach (Henry); son Wes Griffin (Niki) Griffin; grandchildren Chelsea (Tyler), Wesley (Brittany), John William, Rebecca (Chris), Scott (Rachel) and Nicolas (Shelbi); great grandchildren James Frederick and Logan Nicole; a sister Christine Blake; and her furry friend Spike.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, infant son Rembert Riddle Griffin III, and three brothers and seven sisters.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 6-8PM at Avinger Funeral Home 2274 Eutaw Rd. Holly Hill, SC 29059. Services will be held privately by the family.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Agape Hospice for the compassionate and dedicated care provided to Barbara. A special thank you to Katrina, Jane, Millie, and Leigh Ann for your kindness, professionalism, and unwavering support during such an important time. Your comfort, empathy, and attentiveness truly made a difference for our family, and we are deeply appreciative of everything you did.
