Barbara Diane Hambright

Barbara Diane Davis Hambright of San Marcos, Texas, passed away 22 January 2025 following a brief illness.
Barbara, known as "Boo" to her friends, was born to Morton Keefer Davis and Mary Elizabeth Hunnicutt Davis, of Bay City, Texas on 15 August 1947. She graduated from Bay City High School, Class of 1965. Barbara went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Math from Southern Nazarene University, Class of 1970, and later earned a Master of Arts from The University of Texas of San Antonio in August 1980. Barbara was a certificated teacher in the State of Texas and taught Advanced Math at Bay City, San Antonio, Amarillo, Marshall, Texas, and Bosier Parrish, Louisiana. Barbara was loved and respected by all who knew her, particularly her students and their parents. A devoted Christian, she was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be missed.
Barbara was married to James Edwin Hambright. James passed in 2000.
She is survived by her brother and sister in law, Tom and Otti Davis, of Wimberley, Texas. She also leaves behind her Nephew, Stuart Davis, his wife, Sarah, and two Grandnieces, Olivia and Natalie, of Franklin, Michigan.
Barbara asked that there be no memorial service. Her cremains will be interred with her sister, Bonnie, in the family plot at Roselawn Cemetery in Van Vleck, Texas.
