We met Barbara in 1971 when she moved to Canberra, Australia. She taught in several primary schools, secondary colleges and special schools for disadvantaged children in Canberra. She was extremely popular with her many friends and colleagues.
We maintained our friendship with Barbara over her 31 years in Canberra and enjoyed many dinners and outings together. We were sad to see her leave Canberra, but understood that her family always came first. We continued to communicate by email, the last being as recent as 16/1/26.
We will always remember Barbara as a thoughtful, generous and kind friend, and will miss her greatly.
RIP Barbara.

Barbara became a friend when she rode in my car to her first CNU LifeLong Learning class, Meanderings. I found Barbara to be a refined lady , very knowledgeable in many subjects, and she had a friendly personality. She continued to ride with me all that class season, and I enjoyed getting to know her. I will miss her greatly!

So sorry to hear of her passing. I´ve known Barbara as a member of LLS and we played golf together as members of the Deer Run Nine Hole golf league, and members of Master Gardeners. She was a very interesting and unique person. I will miss her

She will be greatly missed. Great memories of times we spent on little trips with Barb, with Lifelong outings. Rest in peace.

I was able to get to know Barbara through my parents who were her neighbors and close friends. She enriched our lives with her friendship and sharing of stories and foods. She will be missed greatly.
RIP Barbara
