Perhaps our longest friendship was with Barb and Paul. We met in 1961 and have remained friends for life. She was a treasure who always made you feel great just to be with her. And if you wanted to appreciate life as she did, all you ever had to do was look at Paul´s smile whenever she talked, as he, like all of us, loved Barb as our special friend, because she always made everyone feel like you were her best friend, and at that moment you were. A great mother, great wife and grandmother. But most of all Barb was one of a kind, and we all were privileged to know her. Love you Barb and love the Hanson family.

So sorry to hear of Barb´s passing. Sending our prayers for her, Paul, and her family. She was a classy, intelligent, kind, and beautiful person inside & out. She was a friend to all, and will always be in our hearts.

Barb was my sister Cindy´s sister-in-law. I loved it when Cindy and I would visit Barb and Paul in their beautiful river home.
She had a great personality, was warm and inviting and fun! A beautiful woman.
Her life, as shared by her as well as through my sister Cindy, gave me stories that I´ve passed along to people who didn´t even know her...like the time in their young budget-conscious marriage when she bought a grand piano without telling Paul! Or the day she found out that she was pregnant with the twins, thinking that those days had been well behind her.
She enriched the lives of those close to her as well as those of us on the periphery, like myself, just looking in. I will miss the opportunity to visit her one more time and laugh.

I was so sorry to hear about Barb! I have wonderful memories of times spent with Barb and Paul in Black River Falls. She will be missed by many. I am so glad Barb and Paul were near family during this difficult time.
