I was blessed to be a student of Ms. Herron as my instrumental teacher at Colwyn/Bell Avenue Elementary school from 1991-95. Truly an inspirational person. I'm very fortunate to have known her. She's the sole reason that I learned the saxophone. May she rest in peace.

Although we didn't see Barbara often when we did it was always fun. She loved her family dearly and I know she and Pete looked at Eric as a big brother rather than a cousin...hence, Aunt Barb you will be missed by all of the Hopkins, Rick,Joan, Maria,JT,Rebekah and Abi

I taught with Barbara, she instrumental, me, general music for many years. She had a great sense of humor, and always gave me an opportunity to smile and laugh. A lovely, kind person.

I was blessed to have Ms. Herron as a music teacher from 1986 to 1989 at Penn Wood West Junior High School. She was an outstanding teacher who fostered within me a deep love and lifelong passion for music.

I was very fortunate to have known Barbara.
We played together for many years in a brass quintet. Her warmth and musicality will not be forgotten.

I was very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She was a dedicated and talented educator. Her students are grateful for her encouragement and patience,as she passed on her love of music to each of them.

Barbara always had a smile for everyone. She worked so hard with her band children and they were so proud to perform!

With my deepest sympathy . We shared a lot of laughs working together over the years. Barbara was a great teacher.

I was so shocked to hear this. Barb touched the lives of so many music students and did it so well and dedicated.
I will always remember the many entertaining excellent concerts she put on at both Colwyn and Bell Ave Schools. It always impressed me that she could get such young children to perform so well.
She was a great asset to the music program in William Penn, and will be greatly missed. My thoughts, prayers and condolences to her family. Thank you Barb. We all enjoyed your talents!
