Barbara G. Hinrichs

Barbara Gwen Hinrichs, 83, of Hastings, NE died June 18, 2023, at Mary Lanning Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Barbara was born on February 22, 1940, in Hastings, NE to Evertt "Benny" and Albertha (Loschen) Carl. She grew up in Hastings and received her education at Hastings Public Schools, graduating in 1958. She was united in marriage to Rodney "Toby" Hinrichs on January 7, 1962. The couple lived in Hastings where she was employed by Hastings Regional Center as an Occupational Therapist and gave them 41 years of service.
She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Group. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and going to the lake with her family.
Survivors include her three sons: Scott (Cindy) Hinrichs of Ayr, NE, Craig Hinrichs of Hastings, Todd Hinrichs of Hastings; grandchildren: Bailey, Brock, Tyson, and Grant Hinrichs; brother Richard "Dick" Carl, of Melbourne, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and parents-in-law; brother Steve; brother and sister-in-law Louis and Elain Naggatz, and Larry Hinrichs; and many other loved ones.
