Barbara L. Hinton, 80, of Ingalls, Indiana, passed away January 24, 2026.
She was born on March 27, 1945, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Ervin and Jane (Henry) Hanle and was an Ingalls resident since 2016.
Barbara retired from General Motors in Anderson after 31 years of service.
Barbara was a 1963 graduate of Glenwood High School in Canton, Ohio and attended Anderson University. She later graduated from Beauty and Cosmetology School. Barbara was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church and active in her Life group there. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, ballroom dancing, crocheting and fishing. Barbara most enjoyed time spent with loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Renee (Jon) Andrews of Anderson and Dawn (David) Chandler of McCordsville; two grandchildren, Christopher (Amber) Chandler and Brittany (fiancé, Matt Robinson) Stutzman; six great grandchildren, Chandler Stutzman, Cambry Stutzman, Logan Chandler, Aria Chandler, Mara Robinson and Reese Robinson; stepson, Anthony (Elise) Hinton of Seattle, Washington; step son-in-law, Ken Weaver of Canton, Michigan; and brother, Glen (Michelle) Bettinger of Sarahsville, Ohio.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank W. Hinton; stepdaughter, Shel Weaver; and a brother, David Hanle.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am, Monday, February 2, 2026, at Fall Creek Christian Church, 1102 W 700 S., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with services beginning at 11 am officiated by Tom Wiles. Entombment will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fall Creek Christian Church, 1102 W. 700 S., Pendleton, IN 46064.
