Barbara and I joined Millipore Corporation's marketing department about the same time in early 1974 and went through training together, working in Tech Service for a while, and eventually working together to install water purification systems at the Annenberg research building at Albert Einstein Medical College of Yeshiva University in New York City. I fondly remember going together to see Rodney Dangerfield perform at his club, Dangerfield's, during that project. We kept in touch periodically after we both left Millipore Corporation in the late 1970s, as recently as a year ago. She will be sadly missed.

Barbara was my oldest friend. We went to the same elementary school, church, and High School, but we actually didn't really like each other back then. We became roommates in Boston; she was one of my bridesmaids, and we loved and appreciated our differences through the decades.
As I am still in shock and incredulous that my healthy, dynamic, and generous friend is gone, I know how deeply affected are her family, especially her daughters, and sisters. She was a strong woman of integrity and generosity. I was honored to call her my friend.
