Miss Barbara Huddleston age 88, of Cookeville and formerly of Sikeston, Missouri died peacefully at 6:35 a.m. Sunday morning October 19, 2025 at the Waters of Gainesboro where she had made her home since September 23, 2005.
Miss Huddleston was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment was on Thursday October 23, at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham Cemetery in White County.
There was no visitation.
She was the daughter of the late Burr Bradley Huddleston who died April 16, 2005 at the age of 101 and Myrtie Velma Howard Huddleston who died October 18, 1985 at the age of 80 and was born Barbara Huddleston in Cookeville on October 26, 1936 and was one of three daughters and a son.
The brother, Bradley Ben Hudleston, died October 21, 2020, a sister, Evilena Huddleston died at birth and another sister, Violet Jean Huddleston died April 12, 1994 at the age of 59.
After school she relocated to Florida and California where she was a farm worker and later moved to Sikeston, Missouri where she lived before moving back to her native Cookeville.
Surviving is a niece, Wanda Huddleston Hubbard and husband Jamie of the Pea Ridge Community; nephew, Tim Huddleston of Cookeville.
