Barbara Nellene Jones, born on November 10, 1935, peacefully passed away on April 20, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. A cherished mother, aunt, and grandmother, Barbara dedicated her life to her family and friends, leaving a remarkable legacy that will endure.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Orville Jones and was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret. She is survived by her two sons, Mike and Doug, who carry forward her spirit and values. As a loving aunt, she is remembered fondly by her niece Louann, and nephews Jim, Boyd, and Greg. Her grandchildren, Samantha, Kyndal, and Kayleigh, along with her great-grandchildren, Liam and Kinsley, who were the lights of her life, bringing her immense joy and happiness.
Nell was a life long resident in the Somerset community. Nell worked and retired from Frost bank and was also a dedicated member of the Somerset Methodist Church where she played the piano for many years.
A visitation will be held in her honor on May 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Services - Lytle, located at 14822 Main St., Lytle, TX 78052. This will be followed by a funeral service at Somerset Methodist Church on May 10, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, situated at 8175 7th St., Somerset, TX 78069. Following the funeral service, Barbara will be laid to rest at Bexar Cemetery in Somerset, TX.
Barbara Nellene Jones will be remembered for her unwavering love, resilience, and the generous spirit she shared with all who knew her.
