Barbara Josephson passed away at Alomere Health in Alexandria, MN on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 at the age of 75. Barb was born on November 23, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN to Russell and Marge Larson.
On August 24, 1973, she was married to the love of her life, Raymond Josephson Sr. in Milbank, South Dakota. Barbara and Raymond spent their entire married life in Douglas County, Minnesota. For eight years they resided South of Holmes City, MN. They then moved to a home three miles west of Holmes City. Together they raised seven children: Steven, Randy, Becky, Michael, Brenda, Raymond Jr., and Robert.
Barbara enjoyed working at Blades Store in Holmes City for thirty years. She worked every other week and was instrumental in helping keep the store running properly. Although her job occupation was cashier she had countless fond memories of all the town folks enjoying coffee on a daily basis.
In her spare time Barbara and Raymond enjoyed gardening, cutting and splitting wood and camping whenever possible. She adored her grandchildren spending as much time with them as possible. She love playing Yahtzee, Farkle, cribbage, Scrabble and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Pat & Judith; son, Randy. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Sr., sons: Steven (Theresa), Michael (Shenoa), Raymond Jr., and Robert (Evan); daughters: Becky (David) Ashbaugh and Brenda (David) Scott; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 19, 2022 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Holmes City with Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Masks are required for Barb’s visitation and funeral.
