Barbara “Joan” Kasper, 89, of Sawyer passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at A Place Called Home in Stevensville.

Joan was born on May 30, 1936 in Sawyer the daughter of the late Henry and Barbara (Schaefer) Pfauth. In 1954 she married James Kasper and he preceded her in death in 2017.
Survivors include her daughters: Deb Kasper and Diana (Jeffery) Thompson; three grandchildren: Jamie (Daniel) Roskoskey, Ryan (BriAnne) Thompson, and Kenner Thompson; and one great grandson.
Joan was also preceded in death by brother, Henry Pfauth; and sisters: Hildegarde Pfauth and Irene Miller.
Joan will forever be remembered for "Goodbye, do you like my hat?"
