Barbara Jean King, a devoted homemaker and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Franklin, Tennessee, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 11, 1941, in Williamson County, Barbara lived a life marked by love, kindness, and an unwavering faith.

She was married to her beloved late husband, William Robert King, for 63 years, sharing a remarkable journey filled with love and togetherness. Barbara was the proud mother of four children: Anthony (Scott) King, Sherrie (Tony) Mangrum, Trish (Nancy) King, and her son John King, who predeceased her. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Leslie Neal, Lacey (Chris Amos) Mangrum, J.J. Barbara was a true caretaker, dedicating her life to nurturing not only her family but also many others whom she took in throughout her life. Her home was a sanctuary of love, where everyone was welcomed and cared for. She had a passion for gardening, enjoyed cooking, and was a devoted fan of football, with a particular fondness for her favorite player, Tom Brady. Animals held a special place in her heart, with her loyal dog Dyxie ever by her side.

She leaves behind her brothers, Milton (Brenda) Crutcher and Clifton (Linda) Crutcher, along with several nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly. Barbara's parents, Walter and Martha Crutcher Sr., and her siblings Roy, Sam, Bob, Joe Crutcher, Ruby White, Alene Graves, Addie Mae Hatcher, and Frances Skinner, preceded her in death.
