Barbara Ellen Kirby

Barbara Ellen Kirby, age 83, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 5:58 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born October 14, 1940, in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Verlie (Butler) Williams.
Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
On December 8, 1963, she married Arthur Lee Kirby, in Ozark, Missouri.
Barbara is survived by her husband of sixty years, Arthur; her son, Landon Kirby and his wife, Roberta, of Aurora, Missouri; three grandchildren, Joshua Kirby and his wife, Desiree, of Marionville, Missouri, Robert Kirby and his wife, Hannah, of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Ryan Kirby of Aurora, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Gabrielle, Natalia, Izayah, James, Nikolai, Alaynah and Nadia.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Verlie and her sister, Artie Smith and her husband, John.
A graveside service under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
