Barbara Klein Obituary
Barbara A. Klein, wife of the late William J. Klein of Albany, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at home.
Born October 29, 1947, in Albany, New York, she was the daughter of the late Leonora (Bernosky) Weingarden and Theophilus (Ted) Hidley.
Mrs. Klein attended Schuyler High School. She was still working for CDPHP for over 37 years, helping people with Open Enrollment for Child Health Plus. She truly loved what she did, helping people.
She was an avid animal lover. Her great love was her cats. She also has a passion for drawing and painting. She was loved and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter Stacey McLea and her husband Tony of Schenectady, New York; and grandson Anthony McLea of Schenectady. She is also survived by her brothers Bruce (Helen) Hidley and David (Michele) Hidley; step children Dirk (Barbara) Klein, Scott (Barbara) Klein, Melissa (William) Adams, Shannon (James) Cirilli, and many step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, November 3, 3025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow at 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York. Graveside interment will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 4 at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Glenmont.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers, to any Animal Shelter or rescue.
