HALES CORNERS - (nee Niemi) Barbara was born October 5, 1944 in Norwich, Connecticut and passed away May 5, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond.
Loving mother to Mark Kucik, Amy (Jeff) Schulz and Julie (Michael) Wood. Doting "Barbie" to her grandchildren, Emily (Brett) Schimke, Adam (Bailee) Schulz, Allison Schulz (Calvin Lamb) and Zachary Schulz. Cherishing great-grandma to Harrison and Norah Schimke, and their new sibling arriving soon, and Lennon Schulz. Also survived by her brother Donald Niemi and his family.
Barb thoroughly enjoyed her time at Eisenhower High School as a Special Education Teaching Assistant where she made great friends whom she cherished. Barbara appreciated all the help in recent years from her fabulous lifelong friends and the memorable dinner parties that she was invited to.
Per Barb's wishes, there will be no service but a celebration of life at a later date. "Free at last"

We had 40 fantastic years as friends. We would have weekly road trips going to different restaurants, plays and just generally bumming around. She was the first neighbor to come over and introduce herself when we moved to Mary Ross Drive In 1979..She was a fabulous party thrower and always had a theme for her parties. If you were considered her friend, she always had your back. And oh how she loved her gin on the rocks! Peace be with you Barb.
