Mrs. Barbara Allen Lax

Mrs. Barbara Allen Lax, age 72, of Murray, Kentucky died on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky. Mrs. Lax was born in Graves County Kentucky on March 3, 1943 to the late Robert Holloway and Hilda (Darnell) Holloway. Mrs. Lax retired from Murray State University as a bookkeeper for the Department of Computer and Information Systems. She was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, an international women's social, cultural, and service organization. She had received her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Business from Murray State University. In addition to her parents Mrs. Lax was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Clyde Lax, who died on May 9, 2010. Mrs. Lax is survived by one daughter, Susan Beth Lax of Lexington, Kentucky; one son, Michael Allen Lax of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Beth Holloway Watson and husband Bob of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Tim Holloway of Paducah, Kentucky; one grandson, John Felts and wife Amanda of Bardwell, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery in Sedalia, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
