Barbara Ann Lorius, age 83, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Brunswick, Ohio. She was born on January 23, 1942, to the late Michael Ivan and Emilie (Halyak) Ivan.
Barbara had a servant heart, helping her family and others. She was very involved at her church, Holy Martyrs, she served as a church secretary, Eucharist Minister, even hosted the Christmas Mass in her home over the years. She also volunteered through La Leche League and Meals On Wheels. Family events were very important to her and she hosted and made many holiday meals and cookouts throughout the year. Barbara also enjoyed sewing, loved her many dogs, and swimming at the Medina Rec Center.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of over 62 years, Richard Lee Lorius; children, Kelly (Chris) Perrone, Eric Lorius, Brett (Brenda) Lorius, Ryan (Carolee) Lorius and Darcy Lorius; her grandchildren, Allison, Dylan, Lindsey, Hayden, Joey and Peyton; her sister-in-law, Nancy Ivan; and many nieces, nephews, along with many lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Ivan and Emilie (Halyak) Ivan and her brother, Dr. Richard Ivan.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Martyrs Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Road, Medina, Ohio, 44256
