Barbara Ellen (Eisnor) Margaca, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 4, 2023, at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 8, 1952, she was the daughter of Wellington and Frances (Weeks) Eisnor. She spent her early years in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood before her family settled in West Roxbury, raising her alongside her three siblings: John, Ann, and Kathy. Barbara graduated from Roslindale High School with the Class of 1970 and took a position with Bank of Boston on Federal Street, serving as a bill pay clerk.
Barbara married her beloved husband, Emanuel Louro Margaca, on July 1, 1972. They made their first home together in Dorchester, but settled in West Roxbury a year later. Barbara returned to her education, taking night classes at Boston's Girls Latin School, building her resume and learning how to become more efficient in an office setting. She went on to take a position with the Boston Laborer's Union Health and Welfare Office in Newton, processing claims and ensuring the union members received the benefits that they were entitled to.
In 1979, Barbara and Emanuel left the city behind, settling in the small suburban town of Walpole. After welcoming her children, Stephen and Rachel, Barbara left her position at the union office, taking on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family. As her children grew up and were enrolled in school, Barbara found a part-time position working in the cafeteria of the East Elementary School in Sharon.
Throughout her life, Barbara loved spending time outdoors. She loved cultivating and tending to her flower gardens and was sure that her yard was always in pristine condition. While she loved to grow flowers, her true talent was in making floral arrangements. She even operated her own studio, Wayside Flowers, on Mylod Street in Walpole for a short time.
Beloved wife of Emanuel Louro Margaca.
Loving mother of Stephen L. Margaca of Walpole and Rachel M. Friberg and her husband, Raymond, of Norton.
Sister of John Eisnor and his wife, Barbara, of Avon, Ann Paquette and her husband, Robert, of Grand Island, New York, and Kathy Vadala and her husband, Leonard, of Clarence, New York.
