Barbara Matthews Obituary
Barbara Keith Matthews, 86, of Huntersville, NC went to be with Jesus on February 4, 2026.
Born on June 4,1939, she was a native of Huntersville, NC and lived there her whole life. Despite being bedridden with MS for nearly 30 years, Barbara was always a smiling face and loved the Lord and her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Calvin Matthews; brothers, Larry Keith and Ronnie Keith; and sister Frances Keith Archer.
Left to mourn her passing are her sons, Reid Matthews and Mark Matthews (Marie); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Earp (Morgan), Gracie Partlow (Bernard), Allen Matthews (Lauren Cramer), Aileen Matthews and Carter Yates; great-grandchildren, Blakeleigh and Weston Earp; sisters, Vivian Jenkins (Earl), Patty Jenkins (Nelson); brother, Furman Keith (Barbara), sisters-in-laws, Gypsy Keith and Terry Keith; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. A graveside service will follow at Huntersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 11:30am.
Memorials may be made to Asbury Chapel Church, 11724 Asbury Chapel Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
