Barbara Lucille "Addy" McCullough

Barbara Lucille Addy McCullough, age 87, of Newnan, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Newnan. Born on October 18, 1938, in Washington, GA, to the late James Alton Addy, Jr. and the late Everette Hight Addy. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah McCullough and sister, Pamela Addy Owen.
Barbara's life was underpinned by her steadfast Christian faith, a foundation that guided her through the years. Her membership and involvement with East Newnan Baptist Church went beyond attendance; it was a reflection of her deep belief and spiritual commitment.
Barbara's spirited enthusiasm saw her participating in many local clubs, where her presence was always a highlight. Her interests were many, but gardening stood out as a particular passion. In her beautiful garden, she cultivated an array of blooms that were much like the friendships she nurtured: vibrant, delightful, and perennial.

An avid player of bridge, Barbara found joy in the challenge of the game and the companionship of her fellow players. Generous with her laughter and wisdom, she was a beloved opponent and partner at the card table.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 72 years, Howard "Pete" McCullough; children, Howard Lee McCullough (Douglas Kohli) and Allison King (Gary), 30 grandchildren; and brother, James Alton Addy III (Lynda).
Barbara Lucille Addy McCullough's departure leaves behind a legacy of love-a love that was her guide and gift to the world. Her story is not just one of a life lived but one of a life shared freely and fully with all those she encountered. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel with Reverend Frank Powers officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home on Friday.
