Born in Pensacola, FL to parents, Nephi and Nancy Guidy.
Barbara graduated from Tate High School, she was a military wife and mother to five children. Barbara volunteered in the community doing things for the Bellview and Myrtle Grove Sports Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; four sisters; son, Shelby J. McFarlain, Jr.; daughter, Cheryl McFarlain- Pebbles; and two grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Shelby McFarlain; daughters, Veronica (Johnny Colvin) McFarlain, Pamela McFarlain, and Theresa (Todd) Bradshaw; 12 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11-2 p.m. on September 4, 2025 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Heritage Hall.
