Barbara and I had known each other since the first grade. We each went our separate ways for many years. A couple of years ago we reconnected, and found that we had so many interests in common. I'll never forget the lovely week I spent with them in Vermont last summer. She was a totally genuine person I loved her very much and my heartfelt sympathy goes to John and Lee who I also love.

I was so distressed to hear of the death of one of my dearest friends Barbara (Babs). She and I go way back to early childhood and we were social worker together. She was such a genuine friend that I could talk to about anything. We also had fun laughing and reliving many memorable times together. My sincere thoughts and prayers for Mac, Lee and granddaughters.

Dear Mr. McLendon,
I am sorry to hear of Mrs. McLendon's passing. You are in my thoughts. I greatly admired her dedication to the arts and her down-to-earth, open minded treatment of others. Please stop in to see us when you return to Galloway.
