Barbara Marie Miklos, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed into peaceful rest in the early morning hours of August 23, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on May 5, 1962, Barb lived a life marked with love, compassion and an indomitable spirit that touched everyone she encountered.

Throughout her illustrious career at Lockwood Property Management, Barb worked her way up from entry-level positions to become the Director of Administrative Services and eventually a partner in the company. Her professional journey was a testament to her fierce determination and hard work. But her true legacy lies not just in her professional accomplishments, but in the kindness and positivity she radiated, earning her the love and respect of colleagues and friends alike.

A proud graduate of Macomb Community College, where she earned her associate's degree, Barb also attended Mott High School. A charming coincidence brought her together with her husband, Arpad R. Miklos, as they met at Parrot Cove on Valentine's Day, though they had crossed paths before as fellow classmates without knowing each other. They built a life filled with countless memories, creating a foundation of love and friendship.

Barb’s passions were diverse and manifold. She enjoyed camping trips with family and friends, traveling to new destinations, and savoring a good single malt scotch. A lover of motorcycling, she found joy in track days at Gingerman and Grattan Raceways, showing a spirited enthusiasm and a fearless nature which was reflected in her accomplishment on learning how to shoot at 50-caiber machine gun. Her keen interest in planting flowers and cooking also showcased her love for nurturing both nature and those around her.

However, it was her resilience and strength in the face of adversity that truly defined her. For three decades, Barb bravely battled breast cancer, demonstrating unwavering courage as she fought against this relentless disease. When her cancer spread to her lungs in July, the rapid progression took everyone by surprise. With the compassionate care of hospice, she maintained her grace and calm, surrounded by loved ones who admired her strength and positivity until the very end.

Barb was not just a fighter; she was the heart of her family. Known as the family grapevine, she held strong connections with her loved ones, fostering relationships that intertwined stories, laughter, and unwavering support. She cherished her role as a godmother to her nephew, Alex, and her familial love extended to her brothers—Dave (Gail) Boik, Tom (Lisa) Boik—and sisters—Cindy (Larry) Paczkowski, and Jenny (Scott) Long. She is remembered with deep affection by her mother, Geraldine Boik, and will be deeply missed by her husband, Arpad Miklos. Barb is now in the warm embrace of her father, Thomas Boik, who preceded her in death.

Her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who had the pleasure to know her. Barb taught us the importance of smiling, finding joy amidst challenges, and the immeasurable value of family. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain a beacon of love and positivity in our memories.

Visitation will take place on August 27, 2025, from 3:00 PM until the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM, at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home located at 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, MI 48092. Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate the extraordinary life of Barbara Marie Miklos.
