Barbara Nell Miller

Barbara peacefully passed away, on October 28, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at home in Leander, Texas.
Barbara grew up in Dallas before attending and graduating from the University of Texas Austin. She married the love of her life, Jim, and began their lifetime of adventures together.
She was a high school English teacher for a brief time before deciding to be a full-time homemaker. She was a beloved wife and cherished mom and was very devoted to her family. She was funny, kind and wise. She enjoyed her friendships, some lasting 60 years.
She was a self-taught day trader and was a useful source of stock market information for her family and friends. She enjoyed the arts, going to plays, museums, and listening to music. She loved learning, she loved sharing her knowledge, she loved nature, she loved deeply.
Barbara is survived by her son Brant, and his wife Heather.
She cherished her grandchildren; Christian and Chase Simon and Michaella and Brady Miller and they will continue their Mimi's legacy.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Miller and their daughter, Kristina Simon. Her heart was broken when she lost them, and she looked forward to being reunited with them.
Her love, wisdom, and smile will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
