Barbara Mize Obituary
Barbara Jean Edmison Mize, 82, of Mabelvale passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 6, 1941 to the late Jesse and Thomasene (Watson) Edmison.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Thomasene Edmison; step-mother, Ruth McNeely Edmison; brother, Jon Edmison; and sister, Jessie Armbruster all of Little Rock.
She is survived by her children: Debbie (Alan) Camp of Mabelvale and Angela Mize of Benton; grandchildren: Jesse (Jennifer) Delling of Pearcy and Jordan (Tara) Delling of Benton; great-grandchildren: Corbin, Raylyn, Laykyn, Tyler, and Willow; and many family members and friends who love Barbara and will miss her always.
Barbara retired from the Highway Department after working for 35 years. She was a member of Rock Creek Church and the Ruth Woods Ladies Bible Study group. She was the president of Friends of Arkansas Health Center in Haskell.
Barbara loved well and made friends easily. Barbara loved to serve others. She would bake, give gifts, sing Happy Birthday or send a card to friends far and near.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 5 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home with visitation from 10:30-11:30 AM, followed by funeral service, officiated by Pastor Mark Evans at 11:30 AM. Burial following at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
