Ms. Barbara Dean Moon

Barbara Dean Moon peacefully passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on February 27, 1943, Barbara was a beloved figure in her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in her love for gardening and working in the yard. She had a special fondness for watching hummingbirds flutter about and challenging her mind with various puzzles. These activities brought her immense happiness and contentment throughout her life. Her greatest joy in life was her family and spending time with them laughing, watching the birds and making memories to last a lifetime and beyond. Barbara is survived by her loving sons, Ricky (Angie) Morris and Rob (Kathy) Morris, who will forever cherish her memory. She was a devoted grandmother to Abby Morris, Laura (Jason) Jones, Brantley Morris, and Dax Morris, and a doting great-grandmother to Jack Jones and Maggie Jones. In addition to her immediate family, Barbara leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched the lives of many. She will be forever remembered for her generosity and unwavering love. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, William and Christine Looney, and her brothers, Bobby Looney, Billy Ray Looney, and J.B. Looney. Although she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Barbara's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Barbara's memory. May Barbara Dean Moon rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens she so dearly loved.

The family will have a Memorial Visitation Saturday, March 28, 2026, 4pm-6pm at Carr Funeral Home
