Barbara Muckenhirn

Barbara Phyllis Muckenhirn (nee Johnson), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Charles Muckenhirn; cherished daughter of the late Briard and Helen Johnson; devoted mother of Helen (Jim) Bartelsmeyer, Carl (Heather) Muckenhirn, Geoffrey (Melissa) Muckenhirn, John (Iris) Muckenhirn and Peter (Corné) Muckenhirn; loving grandmother of twelve; treasured great-grandmother of four; dear sister of Helen (the late Bernie) Johnson.

Barbara was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church of Dardenne Prairie, where she faithfully served as a Eucharistic Minister and was actively involved in the Prayer Shawl Ministry and the Heavenly Dusters. She enjoyed reading, bowling, and golfing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as caring for her dogs. Barbara loved to entertain, often showcasing her favorite Old Fashioned while creating lasting memories with those around her. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to masses to Immaculate Conception Dardenne Prairie.
