Barbara Newell Obituary
Barbara A. Newell, age 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away October 20, 2025, at Ayden of Toledo. Barbara was born on March 25, 1937, to Clyde and Florence (Huffman) Banning. She graduated from Scott High School and worked as a case worker for the Welfare Department until she retired. Barb was a compassionate caring person who loved animals. She enjoyed the time she spent with her OEA friends.
Surviving is her loving daughter, Kim Fowler; and grandchildren, Michelle Fowler, Erik (Sidney) Fowler and Adam Fowler. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Emitt, Everett and Ezra. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 1p.m. until 3 p.m., when funeral services begin at 3 p.m., in Urbanski Funeral Home-a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo, Ohio. Interment will be held privately in Springfield Twp. Cemetery.

I am so sorry I saw this after Barb's service. I met Barb at Unity of Toledo and was blessed by her friendship for many years. Barb was so active in many things at Unity and also with our Lunch Bunch and Margarita Mondays, The Labyrinth gatherings, The F.A.I.T.H group at Unity and so many more. Sending prayers of comfort and strength to Kim and the rest of the family.
