Barbara Noonen Obituary
Barb was born on January 31, 1938 in Stronghurst, IL to Donald W. and Genevieve H. (Kelly) Rankin. She was married Eugene Clement Noonen and together they had three children.
Surviving are her sons, Jeffrey (Cindy) Noonen of Chillicothe, Corey (Lucy) Noonen of Chillicothe, and Shawn (Stacie) Noonen of Houston, TX; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Barb graduated from OSF St. Francis College of Nursing in 1959. She was a registered nurse and later a clinical coordinator for many healthcare facilities in the Peoria area, including OSF St. Francis Medical Center, both Proctor and Methodist Hospitals, Fireside and Bel-Wood Nursing Homes and the Proctor Addiction Recovery Center. She retired after 40+ years of serving in healthcare in the Peoria area. Barb was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved her QVC shopping! She also loved spending time with her family.
Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services at this time. Memorials in Barb's name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
