Barbara J. Overmann (nee Sliepen), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at the age of 83. Loving wife of the late Mark L. Overmann Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Conrad and Loretta Sliepen; devoted mother of Mark L. (Debbie) Overmann Jr., Roberta (Mitchell) Marks, Christopher (Barbara) Overmann, and Theresa (Craig) Basler; cherished grandmother of Melissa, Kyle (Meredith), Corey, Emily (Jack), Megan, Connor, Alec (Crystal), Alyssa/Andi (Jalah), Elijah, and Nathan; sister-in-law of Rose (Stuart) Merchant, Carolyn (the late Chester) Southard, Christine (the late Richard) Overmann. Barbara is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Rev. William Overmann; and her life-long friend, Loretta Niemeyer. Barbara was a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend.
Barbara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cottleville, MO. She died peacefully as a result of Alzheimer's. Barbara was dearly loved. Her brilliant smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
