Barbara Patane Obituary
"Barbara was an active traveler and loved to seek new adventures. She never missed an opportunity to experience new things. She loved entertaining and cooking. Her finest joy was hosting parties and holidays. She was an R.N. at Rochester General Hospital where she worked for 40 plus years in the DOSA unit, until she was 80yrs young. Barbara touched many people's lives. She was married 50 plus years to her husband Vincent and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She never failed to send a card for an Anniversary,Birthday, or special event. She will be greatly missed. She was truly a wonderful person".
No prior calling. Her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday (Oct 8th) )10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Polska Church. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.

I met Barb the day we opened the DOSA unit at RGH, as we were two of the origional RNs there. As colleagues and friends we shared interesting and fun times at and outside of work. Barb was so good at organizing work parties. In her last years working at RGH, I had the privilege of still working with her in the pre admission testing area. She was a fantastic nurse and one of the sweetest persons anyone could meet. In my mind I still can her that chuckle of hers that I heard so many times over those years. She will be missed. Rest in peace, dear Barb. Prayers for comfort and healing for the family at the sorrowful time.

I remember hanging out around the bonfire at your parent's house on the bay. Your mom treated all of us like we were her kids, she was alway inviting & warm. You and all of her loved ones are in my prayers for strength and comfort as you celebrate her life.

Growing up in the seventies I was blessed to meet your mom along with your dad. I enjoyed many conversations with them. Your mom was a remarkable lady. At age 70 now I have thought of her many times over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
