Barbara Ann (Fadness) “Barb” Pederson, 76, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Barb was born on August 13, 1948, to Donald and Frances (Kemple) Fadness in Oakes, ND. She grew up in Lisbon where she attended and graduated from Lisbon High School. After high school, she attended and graduated from Interstate Business College, earning her business certificate. She then worked at various jobs in the Fargo Moorhead area, including Cass-Clay Creamery for several years before meeting David Pederson. They were united in marriage on April 26, 1980, in Moorhead, MN. She worked at Rick’s Bar for a number of years before taking a few years off from work to stay home with her children. She then worked at Cactus Jack’s until her retirement in 2001, living in Moorhead ever since.
Barb enjoyed working at the Red River Valley Speedway with her family while also actively watching the races. She also enjoyed gardening and watching the Wheel of Fortune. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Barb is survived by her loving husband, David Pederson; children, David (Audra) Pederson, Jr., Kelly (Chad Grunwald) Pederson, Dan (Nicole) Pederson, and Kim (Daryl May) Pederson; grandchildren, Christina, Kristin, David III, Tristan, Bryce, Allyssa, Donald, Jaclynn, Tyson, Lizzy, Rory, and Ellie; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Curt and Bryan Fadness; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kery Pederson; parents, Donald and Frances; brother, Marty Fadness; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 3:00 P.M., Friday, February 7, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
