Barbara Ann Podlisecki (nee Briggs), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 2, 2024. She was married to her devoted husband, Richard, for 38 cherished years. Together, they raised their son, Matthew, and celebrated the joy of their grandson, George.
Barbara is survived by her siblings, Mary Briggs-Ficks (the late Snowden Ficks), Judie (Jack) Brown, and Katie (Keith) Larsen. She was a proud and loving aunt to Katie (Kaiima) Griffith, Kevin (Sarah) Brown, Michael Larsen, Sara Larsen, and David Podlisecki.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy “Dee” (née Murry) Briggs; her mother and father-in-law, Antoni and Irene Podlisecki; and her brother-in-law, Mark Podlisecki.
Barbara dedicated her professional life to caregiving, serving as an LPN at East Side Terrace Nursing Home since 1982. Her compassion and commitment touched countless lives during her career.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank-you to St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care and the Brown, Larsen, and Barzycki families for their love and exceptional care.
Memorials in Barbara’s name are appreciated and may be directed to St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care or The Wisconsin Humane Society.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place at Max Sass Funeral Home, Mission Hills Chapel, on Saturday, December 14th, with a memorial gathering starting at 11 AM and a memorial service at 1 PM. All who knew her are welcome to join in honoring her memory.
